The pre-earthquake school accommodated ten classrooms for grades level prekindergarten to 7 grade level for a total of 500 children and an additional multipurpose area on the top floor. The structure collapsed in the 2010 earthquake and the school has been operating from a temporary tent structure in a nearby tent camp. The temporary location is unsecured, very hot, and too small to serve the full student population. In partnership with GlassFrog, two additional high-quality tents are being installed in their temporary location to increase capacity immediately while designs and funds can be prepared for the rebuilding of their permanent school.
